If you want to volunteer at all at our facility you must be enrolled in the Leadership Crew.
This is a fun activity whose goal is to provide/enhance leadership skills. Some activities may include working on your resume, interview skills, helping out at the daycamp/swimming lessons. We always hold a leadership weekend for the kids to get to know eachother as well as the staff. The leadership crew is also a big help during our Keloose celebration, preparing tables with baked goods and lots of games and prize tables for the kids.
For more information please speak to Courtney Gouthro, Ashlea or Lyndin.

Jr. Guards:
Wednesdays and Fridays 2-4
Price: $30/for the summer
Ages 9-15
This is a team of kids who work very hard throughout the summer. We are proud to announce that we are the National Junior Guard Surf Champions of 2004. We do a wide variety of activities but focus is put on preparation for competition. There are normally about 3 competitions per summer. We do a lot of fitness: running and swimming. We do a lot of first aid practice and resuscitation skills. The kids have the opportunity to learn how to use the rescue board (which you will see present at all times down at the entrance to the water) and practice for other competition events. This program is both wet and dry, please send some water and a snack with your child as sometimes it can get long and hot out there under the sun! Note that it is not mandatory for kids to compete in competitions.
For more information please speak to Lyndin or Ashlea.

Bronze Star/Medallion/Cross:
*If you are interested in any of these programs please come see Lyndin or Ashlea.
*We have begun a list of those who are interested in these programs, once we have enough students to form a class we will call those interested and let them know when the classes will be held. Classes are scheduled around the staff member's shifts at the beach. In the past it has been 4-8 on weeknights, and sometimes classes have been held on weekends. We are not limited to only one class throughout the summer, so please if you know anyone who is interested contact us so that a course can be held sooner.
*Cost is to be determined.

If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to speak to us down at the WJCC or email us at windsor_junction@hotmail.com.
